A farmer with a big heart and soul – Mariia Semchyshyna from the Kherson region.
For three years, Mariia Leonivna has been running a farming enterprise, continuing the work of her husband, who tragically died after hitting a landmine planted by the occupiers.
The farm endured nine months under occupation.
Despite ongoing active hostilities and daily shelling, Mariia Leonivna is now working to restore the farm. She also actively supports and aids Ukrainian military personnel.
Ms. Mariia, together with local women, organized a laundry and a support center for the military, where they also regularly prepare delicious hot meals for them.
The sense of home and kindness serves as an important reminder to our defenders of their significance to society and the state.
For her farming and volunteer efforts, Ms. Mariia was honored with an award from the Victory Harvest Foundation.
